The premium people-mover segment has a massive new threat, and it drives shockingly like a nimble SUV. Today on DRX Automobi, we are putting the flagship 2026 Ford Tourneo Titanium X through our rigorous mechanical, spatial, and real-world utility tests. Priced aggressively from around $72,490 MRLP, this isn't just a basic cargo van with windows slapped on; Ford has engineered this all-new generation from the ground up to challenge executive behemoths like the Kia Carnival and Hyundai Staria.

Pop the hood, and you'll find a highly efficient 2.0-liter EcoBlue four-cylinder turbodiesel engine calibrated specifically for this high-tier trim. It delivers a solid 125 kW (168 Horsepower) of power and a muscular 390 N·m of torque from as low as 1,750 rpm. Power is sent strictly to the front wheels via a buttery-smooth 8-speed automatic transmission managed by a modern column-mounted gear shifter. Because Ford equipped this short-wheelbase Titanium X variant with a massive 80-liter fuel tank, it easily achieves a staggering real-world range of nearly 1,100 km on a single fill, matching its official 7.4L/100km fuel efficiency claim on long highway hauls.

But the real magic happens when the dual-powered side sliding doors glide open. The Titanium X packs a modular 8-seat cabin lined with premium faux-leather upholstery. The second and third-row seats are mounted on an advanced, integrated floor-track system. This allows you to slide, fold, completely remove, or even flip the second-row seats backward to create a face-to-face "Conference Seating" lounge layout. Up front, both the driver and passenger enjoy 10-way power-adjustable heated business-class seats with individual fold-down armrests.

The digital dashboard is centered around a massive 13.0-inch central touchscreen running Ford's latest SYNC 4 operating system, supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This high-spec grade also throws in a crystal-clear 14-speaker Bang & Olufsen premium sound system, a fixed panoramic glass roof, a 360-degree surround-view camera array, and a robust Level 2 ADAS suite featuring Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go.
