Kia Motors has revealed the price of its latest MPV, the Carnival 2022, which is known for its wide cabin, quite luxurious interior, and a design that is completely different from its predecessor.

Introduced in South Korea as Sedona in August 2020, the Kia Carnival 2022 will go on sale in the US from Q2 this year, with prices starting at US $ 32,100. Kia Carnival 2022 will be marketed in four variants, namely LX, EX, SX and SX Prestige, according to Kia Motors America, quoted Tuesday.

This MPV (multi-purpose vehicle), which is designed more like an SUV (sport utility vehicle), has a bold and square look following the design language of Kia's other range of utility vehicles, such as Telluride, Sorento and Seltos. The Kia Carnival 2022, which is claimed to have the best cargo volume in its class, is equipped with a 3.5 liter V6 petrol engine that produces a maximum power of 290 horsepower.

Carnival 2022 has different seat arrangements in its variants, some are 7 passengers, and some have a Slide-Flex feature so that it has a capacity of 8 passengers for certain variants. Another unusual feature is the removable second row seats, except for the SX Prestige variant.

Meanwhile, the third row seats can be reclined flat on the floor to increase luggage capacity when needed. In addition to the two options for passenger capacity options, the Carnival 2022 in the US also offers different wheel sizes, some are 17 inches or 19 inches depending on the variant.

The distinctive feature of the Carnival 2022 design includes the D-pillar which is camouflaged with the rear glass so that it looks as if the rear glass and the third row of windows are integrated. Then two sunroofs on the front and rear, and this is the first Kia vehicle in the US to carry the new Kia logo.

Other features you rely on include Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) driver assistance, including Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Blind-Spot Avoidance Assist, and Lane Keeping Assist System for several variants.
