We live in a wireless world thanks to smartphones, Bluetooth Wireless Technology, wi-fi and other technological innovations.
Now, to make charging your phone on the go more convenient, select Kia models offer Wireless Smartphone Charging.
Here’s how it works:
Start by enabling Wireless Charging on your Kia by going to the User Settings mode in the instrument cluster by pressing the MODE button on the Steering Wheel.
Select “Convenience” …
Then “Wireless Charging System.”
On select Kia models, the settings will be in the audio head unit. Press and hold the SETUP button on the audio head unit.
Press the onscreen VEHICLE button and the Vehicle Settings will appear on the screen.
Select “Convenience” …
Then “Wireless Charging System.”
In some Kia vehicles the wireless charger is located in the center console, in front of the gear shift.
If your vehicle has a cover over the charging pad, open it and place a compatible smartphone in the center of the charging pad.
In other Kia models, the Wireless Charger is located behind the gear shift and has a slot to hold the phone in a vertical position rather than a flat pad.
Once the smartphone is on the charging pad or in the slot, the indicator light may change to amber when wireless charging begins…
And once charging is complete, the indicator light may change to green.
Here are some Wireless Charging Tips:
All doors must be closed for wireless charging to occur – if any door, or the rear hatch, is open, charging will be disabled.
The smartphone must be Qi compatible… and for best results, position the smartphone in the middle of the charging pad.
If the phone is not charging, move it around until the indicator turns amber.
And avoid placing metal or any items in the charging pad while charging as they may impede the charging process

Leave it to Kia to provide a wireless way to recharge your smartphone.
