In this video, Simone looks at the new 2021 Kia Carnival 8 Seater people mover. This is the latest Kia Carnival and it does not look like a van it’s closer to the Honda Odyssey in terms of design, but, honestly, it looks better.

This may be the reason why the Carnival looks the way it does. It’s trying to get closer to the design of an SUV to try and lure a few of those buyers to actually show them that it meets all their needs.

The Carnival we have in this video is in the SLi trim, so one under the very top Platinum and it is powered by that 4-pot diesel. Known in some countries as the Kia Sedona, here in Australia we call the 8 seater Van from Kia a Carnival.

There are two engine options for Kia’s latest Carnival, a 3.5 L SmartStream V6 multi-point and direct injection and dual continuous variable valve timing for the best of efficiency and power. The second option is the 2.2 inline 4-pot diesel with 148 kW and 440 Nm from 1750 to 2750 revs.

If you’re buying a vehicle to drive a large family, you do not need an SUV. What you need is the new Kia Carnival. You get a very versatile interior, loads of safety and comfort features, smart, adaptive seating configuration, boot space that is amazing, and fuel consumption that will hardly be matched by any similarly sized SUV.
