Hyundai Custo 2022 - 2023 Review, Photos, Exhibition, Exterior and Interior

Hyundai continues to gradually declassify its new monocab. The model should enter the market by the end of this year, although it may turn out to be exclusive.


We have already seen the new Hyundai minivan without any camouflage in spy photos and in the pictures of the PRC Ministry of Industry . However, the brand itself revealed the appearance of the car only a few days ago, and now official images of the interior have been published. Recall that the model was named Custo, while it is addressed only to the Chinese market; its production will be set up at the Beijing Hyundai joint venture plant. By the way, this is the first model of the MPV segment in the SP range.

The main "chip" inside is a multimedia system with a vertical touchscreen with a diagonal of 10.4 inches, like the second generation Hyundai ix25 SUV (this is how the cross is called in the Celestial Empire, which we know as Creta). There is no separate climate control unit - all settings are built into the display. Also, the minivan received a truncated steering wheel in the style of local Elantra and Sonata, a virtual "tidy", a two-story central tunnel and two sunroofs. Instead of the traditional lever of the box, a push-button panel was installed, the air vents are hidden in a single line, plus there are wood-like inserts on the front panel.
So far, only the seven-seater Hyundai Custo (2 + 2 + 3) is exposed, in the second row there are separate seats with retractable footrests, and the electric adjustment buttons are located on the inside of the armrests. There will also be a six-seater option - at least it has been certified.

In terms of exterior design, Custo has an impressive grille with shiny fins and integrated running lights (like the latest Tucson ). The taillights are interconnected by a luminous strip, and the exterior mirrors are mounted on separate legs. There is also an unpainted plastic body kit around the perimeter of the body and black lining on the wheel arches. At the same time, judging by the documents of the Chinese Ministry of Industry, there will be a version without "protection".
The length of the new item is 4950 mm, width - 1850 mm, height - 1734 mm, wheelbase - 3055 mm. Thus, Custo turned out to be more compact than the fresh Kia Carnival . Dimensions of the basic version of the Kia model (in the Korean specification): 5155/1995/1740 mm, the distance between the axles is 3090 mm. Well, we note that it is still not known exactly whether the vans of the Korean brands are relatives.

According to preliminary data, Custo Chinese will be offered with two gasoline engines to choose from, familiar from other Beijing Hyundai models: these are "turbo fours" 1.5 (factory index G4FS) and 2.0 (G4NN), on a minivan they give out 170 and 236 hp. respectively. "Celestial" media write that the model is equipped with an eight-speed "automatic", only front-wheel drive.
