Subaru Solterra - Electric SUV Concept 2022 , The next generation of Subaru's SUV capabilities has a name: Solterra. The #SubaruSolterra 2023, named by combining the Latin words for "Sun" and "Earth," is built on the e-Subaru Global Platform, a new all-electric vehicle architecture.

The all-electric platform has been co-developed with Toyota, which owns most of Subaru. Toyota calls the e-TNGA and Subaru will call its version the e-Subaru Global Platform. As such, it is expected to be closely related to the production version of the Toyota bZ-4X concept car that was introduced at the Shanghai Auto Show this spring. In fact, the two cars look like clones of each other. show the exterior and interior. It looks similar inside and out to the #Toyota #bZ4X, which will share a platform and powertrain.

The Solterra #EV brings the trusted reliability of the Subaru brand, cutting-edge safety technology and legendary all-wheel-drive engineering to an environmentally responsible all-electric SUV. The Solterra interior is revealed in more detail than the nearly identical Toyota interior, which clearly shows the new infotainment system laid out horizontally, with capacitive controls for climate control just below, plus a puck-style shifter. The new-generation steering wheel controls are visible, as is a separate digital measuring instrument cluster right in front of the driver.

The only detail we have about the powertrain so far is that the #Solterra will have standard all-wheel drive. That likely means it will have front and rear electric motors. Battery capacity is also unknown but we estimate it will require an estimated mileage of at least 250 miles to be able to compete with other models in the segment such as the #VWID.4 and #FordMustang #Mach-E.
